It is the last day for Cinémas Palme D’Or at the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert. The theater was the first in the desert to allow you to drink a beer while watching a flick, brought big time celebs to town, and was run by some pretty great people. They are going to be missed.
You can still see a flick today, the last day for the theater before it switches over to Tristone. Independence Day is playing, along with the highly underrated The Nice Guys and a bunch of other films.
Bonus: they were slingin’ $3 MGDs the other night when I went.
Thanks for all the cool stuff over the years, Cinémas Palme D’Or.
