We have been hearing about El Niño for quite a while now – and this week, it looks like we will finally be seeing it unload some precipitation in Southern California and the Coachella Valley.
At least 4 storms will hit the southland this week, with forecasts calling for anywhere between .75 to 2 inches of rain for The Coachella Valley and as much as 2 feet of snow possible in the local mountains.
The storms will begin moving in on Monday and, as you can see below, there is actually a 100% chance of rain in Palm Springs on Tuesday – which is not something you see very often. Tuesday’s storm is also expected to bring the most amount of precipitation.

With all of the rain on the way, be sure to prepare for potential flooding. You also might want to check those windshield wipers.
