The Del Taco in Beaumont was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a strong odor permeated throughout the restaurant causing the facility to be evacuated and the Hazmat team to be called in.
Customers and workers of the fast food joint complained of breathing problems and watery eyes, according to KESQ.
The odor was determined to be bear repellent which someone sprayed in the business.
Four adults and an infant were treated by authorities. Five other people declined treatment, according to the Press Enterprise.
