A Hemet man was arrested Tuesday, but not before he ended up being covered in yummy watermelon chunks and juice.
Police tried to pull over a vehicle that was reported stolen at 2:15 am on Tuesday in Hemet. The car did not stop and cops later found it parked in a watermelon field in San Jacinto, notes the Press Enterprise.
A search of that field turned up Patrick Dewayne Grigsby, 39, who was hiding amongst the watermelons and covered in their juice – perhaps it was his way of camouflaging?
Gigsby was arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, felony evasion, and violation of his mandatory supervision terms and conditions.
His bail was set at $225,000.
