Monday was a day filled with surprise thunderstorms in the Coachella Valley. This led to some great photos and something pretty rare in the desert: precipitation.

Sure, it wasn’t a ton but, seeing as how we are in a huge drought, every bit helps – and the surrounding areas got quite a bit more.
Things will clear out today, but, according to the forecast, there is a 40% chance of some more showers hitting Palm Springs on Thursday.
