Rain and cooler temps are coming to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. No seriously.
The beginning of the week will see temps drop into the 80s…THE 80s!!!…and there is a pretty good chance of precipitation falling beginning Monday and lasting through Wednesday. So how much rain should we expect in the desert? According to the National Weather Service, anywhere from half-an-inch to an inch of rain – which, for the Coachella Valley, is a pretty decent amount.
Here is the latest rainfall forecast for #SoCal through Wednesday. The rainfall will come in two waves – first from remnants of #HurricaneRosa late Sunday-early Tuesday, then from a Pacific storm late Tuesday-Wednesday. Confidence on amounts is moderate. #cawx pic.twitter.com/3BLU27zToJ

As is always the case in the desert when it rains, drive with caution as roads can start flooding at any moment. Also keep in mind that it’s been a bit since we have seen rain and people tend to completely lose their shit when the wet stuff starts falling, so just be prepared for a lot of weirdness.
Other than that, enjoy the rain!
