Perhaps El Nino was just running late?
For the first time in a long time, the Coachella Valley saw a storm move in that brought a significant amount of rain to the desert.

With the rain has come some flooded streets and road closures with KESQ reporting that Cathedral City Canyon Drive is closed at the wash and Dune Palms Drive being closed at the wash in La Quinta.

Forecasters are calling for rain throughout the morning on Thursday, then clearing out into the afternoon and evening. But, more is on the way – with another round of showers expected to hit Saturday evening.
