A hiker was bitten by a rattlesnake while hiking a trail in the Coachella Valley Preserve on Wednesday.
Emergency crews were called to the Pushawalla Palms Trail at 10:16 am, according to a news release.
The hiker was in a remote location of the trail and had to be airlifted to a waiting ambulance. The victim was then transported to the hospital to be treated for moderate injuries.
