
A hiker is in critical condition after being rescued from the Bump & Grind hiking trail in Palm Desert on Thursday.
First responders were called a little after 11 am to the trail. Rescuers were able to hike to the patient, who was eventually airlifted off the trail to a nearby ambulance.
A hiker on the Bump and Grind trail is in critical condition after suffering a heat-related illness. They were airlifted to the hospital.

A Cal Fire official told KESQ that a female hiker was located “in severe distress” a little more than half-a-mile up the trail.
Temperatures in the Coachella Valley had already reached above 100 degrees as of 11 am. No additional details were available.
