A hiker was rescued from the popular Bump & Grind hiking trail on Wednesday afternoon after they suffered a leg injury.
Rescue crews were called to the trail, near Palm Desert, about 1:50 pm, according to the Desert Sun. The hiker had called 9-1-1 after injuring their lower leg. The injury prevented him from hiking down the trail.
The hiker, who was not named, was taken to safety and was checked out by paramedics. They declined an ambulance ride to the hospital.
