Rain, that thing that we have not seen much of over the last six years in California, has decided that it is back and here to stay all weekend long.
Three consecutive storms will hit Southern California, bringing lots of rain and, OMG…LOOK AT ALL THE SNOW!
Though you might want to wait a bit before going up to enjoy it, roads in and out of the mountains have chain restrictions and the storm is so big, Big Bear even cancelled school today.

Rain totals are expected to be anywhere from 1 to 2 inches in the Coachella Valley from all three storms. The first of which is hitting today, the second tomorrow, and the third on Sunday / Monday.
It’s nice to have the rain, seeing as how the drought sucks, but since about 90% of everything in the Coachella Valley was not built for this kind of thing – buildings, roads, bridges, etc. – be careful out there. Also, if you need sandbags, here is where to get them.
