Rain is headed to the Coachella Valley! So break out the jackets, check those windshield wipers, and get ready for tourists to complain. How much of the wet stuff is in store from the three storms headed to Southern California? A pretty decent amount, according to forecasters.
The first wave of showers is expected to hit the Coachella Valley Thursday. It will then be followed with another round on Saturday and yet another storm to start out next week.
While Los Angeles could see over three inches total from the three storms, the Greater Palm Springs area will see about an inch, according to the National Weather Service.

As desert rats know, an inch of rain in the desert can be like getting 20 inches of rain elsewhere, so don’t be surprised to see roads quickly flood and there to possibly be other weather-related issues – including the local news losing their shit.
Bottom line: stay dry and stay safe!
