If you are headed out to the Date Festival, and you prefer beer that taste like beer and not water, this is something you should know.
As you walk around the festival, you will see plenty of spots to buy a Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob, and Montejo. Which is fine, if you are into those types of beer.
But, if you head over to in front of the Fullenwider Auditorium on the west side of the fairgrounds, just a little north from where they are doing the pet adoptions, you will find a few more offerings from Golden Road Brewing – including an IPA, a Session IPA, a Hef, and a brown ale – which, I should note, are in cans and not on draft. But hey, all of them are going for 8 bucks, which is the same price as Bud Light – so, you have that going for you. Which is nice.

So, if you are heading out to the Date Festival to see Monster Trucks, Cheap Trick, or eat a Fireball Whiskey infused donut, just know you can do it with a craft brew.
