Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department investigated the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells on Thursday after receiving reports of gunshots on the property.
The department was called about 10:15 am to the hotel and conducted room to room searches. They determined the shooting to be unsubstantiated.

According to KESQ, the hotel was partially evacuated during the search and a heavy police presence was seen on the property.

This is an especially busy time for the Hyatt, as the BNP Paribas Open is taking place just minutes away at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
