An officer with the Indio Police Department was hopsitalized with serious injuries after a collision Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened about 3:30 pm near Jackson Street and Odlum Drive, according to KMIR. The officer, who was on a motorcycle, was struck by a Nissan Murano driver by 53-year-old Margaret Kenric of Orange.

Kendric was not injured. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
