Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force arrested an Indio man on Thursday after discovering plenty of guns and quite a few drugs at his home while serving a search warrant.
42-year-old Rafael Lugo was arrested at 5 a.m. at his home on Calhoun Street. Officers, serving a search warrant, discovered:
- three rifles
- two handguns
- an undisclosed amount of cash
- almost $6,000 in meth and heroin
- knives
- and this terrifying thing:
Lugo was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of heroin for sales, possession of narcotics while armed, possession of a short-barreled rifle, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
