The Indio Toys R Us will close within the next couple of months.
The retailer has announced thy will close up to 182 stores as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization plan and on the list of stores is the Coachella Valley’s only Toys R Us location at 42500 Jackson Street. The news comes almost a year after another major retailer, Target, closed a location on the same street.
The Indio store is one of 27 scheduled to be closed in California. Nationwide, going-out-of-business sales are scheduled to begin in February and be completed in April.
No word on an exact closing date.
