
For the second time in less than a week, an injured hiker was airlifted off of the Bump & Grind Trail in Palm Desert Wednesday morning.
Crews responded to the injured hiker about 7:23 am, according to Cal Fire. The injured hiker was inaccessible by foot, so a California Highway Patrol helicopter was called in to airlift them off the trail to a waiting ambulance.
There was no word on the extent of their injuries.
