Officials from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are investigating after a body was found by a hiker north of The 10 Freeway at Frontage Road on Tuesday.
Upon arrival, investigators located the human remains of a male, according to a news release. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
Update 4/10: The Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased male as Rosendo Ruiz Montano, 49 years old from La Quinta.
