Is a Nirvana reunion happening at this weekend’s CalJam?

CalJam is taking place this weekend at Glen Helen in San Bernardino and many music fans are speculating that it could feature a reunion with the surviving members of Nirvana.

The Saturday fest is scheduled to have multiple performers including the Foo Fighters and Krist Novoselic‘s current band, Giants in the Trees – so a reunion wouldn’t be all that hard to work out.

But the reunion rumors are not just about proximity, the Foo Fighters shared a video on Twitter that includes footage of a surprise set performed by Dave Grohl, Novoselic and Pat Smear that happened after the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony.

Redditors determined that the distorted audio in the clip is actually Nirvana’s “Serve the Servants” played backwards.

Then there is another tweet from The Foo Fighters saying of CalJam, “CAN’T WAIT!!!! What else could we have up our sleeves?? Stay tuned…”

That tweet was retweeted by the official Nirvana account.

Tickets are still available for this Saturday’s Cal Jam, with lawn tickets going for $49 and GA for $99. Get more info here.
