It sprinkled for a few minutes so, as always, the local news lost their sh*t

rain

Well look at that, it sprinkled for a couple of minutes in The Coachella Valley on Tuesday evening. As is always the case when this kind of thing happens, the local tv news went crazy.

KMIR, who just can never learn from their own mistakes, posted this video of someone driving around, illegally distracted by their cell phone, to document some rain drops on a windshield.

Light sprinkles have been coming down in the #CoachellaValley. Has it been raining in your city? Watch KMIR News at 6PM for the latest weather update from Chief Meteorologist Ginger Jeffries.

Meanwhile, KESQ reposted this message from news director Bob Smith about the station’s newest weather guesser, Haley Clawson:

Posted by KESQ News Channel 3 on Tuesday, January 19, 2016

The post reads: “Haley Clawson Chief Meteorologist KESQ predicted it. On Saturday she told me the next chance for any showers will be Tuesday. She was right!”

Haley seems very nice, and while accurately predicting weather is a an awesome (and necessary) part of the job, did she just tell him?  Care to share with all of us next time, KESQ?

Meanwhile, some dumb blog is probably responsible for the whopping .0000001 inches of rain (or whatever it was) because it just had to call out stupid El Niño for not doing it’s job.

Ummm…where are all those El Niño storms we kept hearing about?
