Well, this is weird.
Forecasts call for Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley to cool down a bit on Christmas day, with high temps barely hitting 60 degrees. Meanwhile, New York City should see a high temp of 64 degrees.

Meteorologists say El Niño is the cause for these strange weather patterns, which are expected to continue through the winter. Already, plenty of East Coast cities have been setting records for high temperatures in December, in what some meteorologists are calling the “blowtorch”.
As for The Coachella Valley, it will get even cooler after Christmas – with overnight lows dropping down into the 30s.
