Getting into Joshua Tree National Park just got a little bit easier.

The park now has a free mobile app that lets you pay entrance fees in advance right from your phone.  The app, called JTNP Fee Pay: Park Pass allows you to use a credit or debit card to gran a 7-day vehicle pass for $25, a 7-day individual pass if you have a motorcycle or are walking (!), and an annual pass for $40.

You will need to show ID with your digital pass and it is not transferable.

Joshua Tree National Park is only one of two parks, nationwide included in the pilot program and the park service is looking to offer the service at other parks around the country.
