Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are searching for a suspect involved in attempted kidnapping that they say occurred early Wednesday morning.
Police were called about 1:20 am to an apartment on Caesar Chavez Street, the Sheriff’s Department. Officers were told that a man had forced his way into the home and tried to kidnap a child, but was unsuccessful and the child is safe.

A search is underway in the area for the suspect, who was wearing dark clothing. No other information was released.
