Metallica sure seems like a prime choice to headline one night of Coachella in 2017. The band has a new album, a 2017 tour with plenty of open time in April, and a little experience performing in Indio as they headlined the Big Four in 2011 – a festival so big that the billboards for it were kept on display for years. When asked on KTLA if the rumors were true, guitarist Kirk Hammett didn’t exactly squash them.

Earlier reports have Beyonce, Radiohead, and Kendrick Lamar as headliners – but, with an added stage and room for tens of thousands more people each weekend, it would seem there would be room for another big time artist.
Luckily, we should find out who is performing Coachella in less than a month.
