The La Quinta Police Department is investigating at a break-in at a La Quinta jewelry store that happened early Wednesday morning.
A cash register was taken from La Quinta Jewelers in the Walmart shopping center, according to KESQ. The suspect was caught on surveillance video using a crowbar to enter through the front door of the store.

The owner of the store claims $2,000 of jewelry was also taken.
No further details have been released.
