La Quinta theater reopens after power line robbery forced closure

(Facebook)

The La Quinta Cinemark Century Theatre in La Quinta reopened Sunday after it had to shut down Saturday after someone stole part of a power line.

The robbery happened sometime Saturday morning, noted Karen Devine of KESQ.

Those who went to the theater hoping to catch a flick were greeted by a handwritten sign explaining that the theater was closed, according to the Desert Sun.  It’s not clear exactly what was stolen in the robbery.

A theater representative told us power has been restored to theater and it has reopened on Sunday.
