A 31-year-old Landers man was arrested on Tuesday after police say he intentionally tried to set his home on fire.
Fire crews responded to a structure fire on Emerald Way a little after 6 pm on March 7, according to a news release from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department. The residence was deemed a total loss and resulted in no injuries.
An investigation was conducted and detectives determined Davis Bouthavong set the fire to the residence he was living in.On Tuesday, deputies contacted Bouthavong near the burned residence. He was arrested for arson and is being held on $250,000 bail.
There was no word on what a possible motive might have been.
