Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating a body found in Sky Valley that may be those of a woman who went missing from the San Fernando Valley in 2009.
The remains were discovered buried near Hot Springs Road, reports the Desert Sun. An investigation was underway Friday which included the LAPD, FBI, and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities discovered the body while searching a home on Friday, according to ABC 7. The search was initiated after a probable suspect, who is in jail, gave information that a body was buried at the location.
Coroner will need to identify remains; dental would be pretty quick; if DNA is necessary it could take 2-3 months

The details about the missing woman and the possible connection to the Coachella Valley have not been disclosed, according to KMIR. Authorities would only say that she vanished from the Devonshire area, which includes Northridge, Chatsworth and Canoga Park.
