Move over, Jennifer Lawrence. Bradley Cooper wants YOU to star in his next movie.
Okay, well maybe you won’t star in it, but you can be in it and that is pretty cool.
An open casting call is taking place on Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm at the Miramonte Indian Wells Resort, notes the Desert Sun – as the movie, which is being directed by and was written in part by Cooper, needs about 500 to 600 extras to be a part of the flick which also stars Sam Elliott and Andrew Dice Clay (?).
You should bring a 3×5 photo of yourself to the casting call – and it should be current, as they are not filming the movie 10 years ago – and you could be chosen to film 1-3 days on April 17, 18, and 19. They are only looking for people 18 and over, so sorry kids.
According to Variety, the movie is tentatively set to be released in September of 2018. It’s based on the 1937 film starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March which centers on a fading movie star who helps an aspiring actress while his own career spirals downward. There have been a couple of remakes, one in 1954 withJames Mason and Judy Garland and another with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976.
Here’s the original, just in case you want to brush up before going to the casting call:
It’s all just part of what looks like an insanely busy week for Gaga, who will be taking the spot of Beyonce as headliner while also filming the movie.
The Miramonte Indian Wells Resort and Spa is located at 45000 Indian Wells Lane in Indian Wells.
