Did you make plans to head out on the road for Memorial Day Weekend? Well, bad news, so did everyone else.
The Auto Club is projecting that 3.03 million people will be taking a trip in Southern California – which is up 3.24 percent from last year, notes the Press Enterprise.
Statewide in California, 4.89 million people are taking to the roads – which is way up from 3.57 million in 2009, a year I remember going to Vegas and getting stuck in terrible traffic. So yeah, this year it should be a gem of a time on the 15 Freeway northbound Friday afternoon (seriously though, it is one of the few times you should consider taking the terrible back way to Vegas).

If you happen to be headed to one of those spots, experts say you should plan on leaving Thursday or Saturday and do anything and everything you can to avoid being on the roads on Monday.
