A man was arrested around 1 am Saturday morning in Long Beach after police say he rode a horse onto the 91 Freeway while celebrating his birthday.

Police were called after motorists spotted the man on a white horse on the eastbound 91 near Paramount Boulevard, reports ABC 7. The man exited the freeway at Downey, where officers found him on Bellflower.

The man, identified as 29-year-old Luis Alfredo Perez, was given a couple of field sobriety tests, which had results of .21 and .19 percent. He was arrested and booked for riding a horse under the influence.
