A 35-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning after a rather lengthy car chase in Desert Hot Springs.
Police tried to stop a suspected DUI driver about 1 am near Sixth Street and Cactus Drive, but the driver failed to stop, reports KMIR.
Police attempted several “intervention techniques,” but none were successful in ending the pursuit. Eventually, one unspecified technique disabled the car a little before 3:30 am.
An inspection of the vehicle turned up ammunition and two fake guns, according to police.
Alejandro Guadan was booked on suspicion of evading police, a probation violation, for being a felon in possession of ammunition and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
