A man was arrested after a short chase in Palm Desert on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to conduct a welfare check on a man on Fred Waring Drive about 11 am, according to KMIR. When deputies arrive, they learned the man was the subject of an outstanding felony warrant and they tried to detain him, but he managed to get into a car and drive away.
A pursuit ensued, but ended a mile away near Alamo Drive and Kavanaugh Court.
No other details were provided.
