Man arrested for threatening Macy’s employees with pellet gun

Police arrested a 19-year-old man after they say he tried to rob a Macy’s store, then threatened an employee with a pellet gun.

Police were called to the Victorville Macy’s store around 9:30 pm Tuesday night, according to the Daily Press. Employees told authorities they saw a man try to leave the store with clothing without paying for it.

When loss prevention officers confronted the man, he pulled out a black handgun and threatened them. But, the employees were not having it and one of them took the gun from him and detained him until police arrived.

It was later determined the handgun was a pellet gun.

Andrew Alexis Salazar, of Victorville, was arrested for suspicion of robbery, making a criminal threats and exhibiting a deadly weapon.
