The rarest type of prison break happened in San Bernardino on Sunday when a man was arrested after attempting to break into the the Central Detention Center. Luckily for him, he was successful – and, thanks to his arrest, should not be spending plenty of time there.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Corey Emon spotted the guy, identified as 28-year-old Shane James McDonald, scaling a fence around the perimeter of the facility just after 6 am, according to the Press Enterprise.
Jail staffers arrested McDonald on suspicion of trespassing and discovered that he also had an outstanding warrant.
There was no motive for McDonald’s break-in released by authorities, all I can guess is maybe he mistakingly watched Shawshank Redemption in reverse.
