A man was arrested at Disneyland with a loaded gun.
Percival Agoncillo, 44, was arrested on July 9th after a plain-clothed security officer spotted him with a firearm in the entry plaza between Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure . Police were called and arrested Agoncillo, who was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and two magazines of ammunition.
Police note that Agoncillo never actually entered the park and as for his motive, well, that is where things take an even stranger turn. Via CBS LA:
While police are not yet aware of Agoncillo’s motive, there are reports that he may have told detectives that he was seeing ghosts, and that he’d heard voices, telling him to shoot people.
Police found that Agoncillo was on probation for a similar offense in San Mateo County. He was booked and released on $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 27th.
