
A man in Desert Hot Springs got the jump on Bring Your Child to Work Day (April 27 btw) by bringing a child with him while he broke into a home on Monday night.
KMIR has the scoop and the surveillance video (below), which shows a guy and child walk hand-in-hand up a driveway, then up some stairs, then kick the door of the place in and enter.
Here is the guy and the child (arrow, since the kid is almost out of frame):

“I’ve seen lots of burglary video, I’ve never seen it where the child is standing essentially right next to the perpetrator when they force entry into a home,” Detective Christopher Saucier told the TV station.
The pair ended up getting scared by the alarm and fled without taking anything.
