A man is dead after his car went of the road and rolled over on Highway 74 near Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert on Friday night.

The crash happened about 9:20 pm near the Art Smith Trailhead, according to KESQ. The man was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol told the TV station they believe speed played a role in the crash. They have not ruled out drugs or alcohol possibly playing a factor.
