
Police are looking for a man who was captured on surveillance video assaulting a 7 Eleven employee after his credit card was declined.
The footage of the incident, which happened on February 11 in Santa Ana, was released by police in hopes the public could help identify the suspect.
“In a fit of anger, the suspect struck the cashier in the head, pushed one cash register and printer to the floor, threw bananas at the other cashier, and pushed the other register off the counter,” Santa Ana police said in a news release (via OC Register).
The suspect caused $700 in damage and now faces arrest for battery on a person and damage of property.
The suspect is described an approximately 30-to-35-year-old man who’s 5-feet-10 to 5-feet-11-inches tall who weighs from 180 to 200 pounds.
