Police arrested a man in Coachella on Sunday night who they say was drunk and in possession of a dummy grenade.

Coachella Police found Armando Rangal, 48, passed out in a parked car at Del Oro park on at 6:41 pm Sunday evening, according to a release.

In the car with Rangal was a green military grenade. After the Riverside County Sheriff’s Hazardous Device team investigated, it was determined the grenade was inert.

Rangal was arrested for public intoxication.
