Man robs Coachella jewelry store at gunpoint

Coachella police are searching for a man who robbed Leon’s Jewelers Friday afternoon.

A man walked into the store, located on Harrison Street and Avenue 50, around 4:30 p.m. He pulled out a handgun and took cash from the register, reports The Desert Sun.

Police describe the suspect as a thin, Hispanic man about 5 feet, five inches tall and 20 to 25 years old. He was last seen in a white sedan on Harrison Street.
