Because leaving 15% is just too much for some people, instead of leaving an actual cash tip for his waitress at a Redondo Beach Thai restaurant – a man left an offensive note that has since gone viral on the internet.
The unidentified waitress at Bamboo Thai Bistro was surprised to see that a customer’s receipt of had no cash tip for her, instead it had the words, “Tip for U.S. citizens only,” reports NBC 4.

A photo of the receipt hit the internet and quickly went viral – with many questioning why someone would choose to go to a Thai restaurant if he was so against anyone immigrating to the United States.
The server, who is reportedly in her 30s and working in the U.S. legally with a visa, told NBC 4 that she hopes to eventually get her green card to provide a better life for her two kids.
NBC 4 reached out to the man whose name appears on the receipt, but he has yet to respond.
