A search warrant served early Monday morning at a residence in Thermal resulted in one arrested and the seizure of ammunition, drugs, and thousands in cash.
The Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force, with the assistance of Riverside County Sheriff SWAT, served the search warrant on Van Buren Street about 5 am, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Department.
During the service of the search warrant, Task Force Officers seized methamphetamine, cocaine and ammunition. Investigators also discovered evidence of narcotics sales occurring at the residence, which included approximately $7,000.00 in cash.
Ezequiel Ortega Nava, 45 of Thermal was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine / Cocaine for Sales, Felon in Possession of Ammunition and Committing a Felony while on Bail. He was booked at the Indio Jail.
