The notoriously violent Springs Country Club had yet another brutal incident this past week when Matthew Spain, the 42-year-old director of security at the country club, was arrested after hitting two elderly guests with his radio!
The Desert Sun has the info on how the latest skirmish at The Springs went down:
At about 11 a.m. Friday, two elderly men – who were identified as guests – were trying to get into the country club, but they didn’t have the address of the home they were visiting.
Spain showed up following a “brief argument” with security, and he got into an argument that escalated to a fight with the men, according to the sheriff’s department.
He hit one of them with his radio “multiple times,” according to investigators. He and the two men were taken to Eisenhower Medical Center for treatment to unspecified injuries.
Spain was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and was released Saturday after posting bail.
But the incident is further proof: those walls are not meant to keep us out…they are meant to keep them in!
