A Moreno Valley man was arrested as police say he was involved in the theft of 2,298 GoPro cameras from a Riverside warehouse.

Police arrested Anthony Jacob Zent, 23, at an apartment in Moreno Valley and booked him for investigation of conspiracy and embezzlement, according to the Press Enterprise.

Authorities say the theft went down on July 21 in an industrial area in Riverside. Five days later, detectives saw an ad for GoPro 4’s for sale and responded to set up a meeting with the seller.

Officers recovered 4 stolen cameras during the meeting and then 6 more at Zent’s apartment along with 18,000 dollars in cash.

Zent admitted to detectives that a former employee in the warehouse gave him the cameras.

Anyone with info about the additional missing GoPro’s is asked to call Detective Brett Stennett at 951-826-5388 or Acting Sgt. Joe Miera at 951-353-7241.
