
A collision involving a tour bus and a semi truck resulted in 13 deaths.

The crash happened about 5:20 am on the I-10 west of Indian Avenue, according to KESQ. 13 people died in the collision. 31 people were taken to the hospital.

Authorities has closed all westbound lanes on the freeway at Indian Canyon – where traffic is being diverted off the freeway.

Update – 9:05 am: The Desert Sun reports the number of fatalities is at least seven.
Update – 10:22 am: The number of fatalities is now 11, according to the Desert Sun. The freeway is expected to be closed until at least 4 pm. The CHP believes the bus was coming from Red Earth Casino.
