Two guys were arrested in Murrieta on Saturday after police say they tried to rob a bank using a note demanding money – that was simply ignored by the bank’s staff.
The robbery attempt went down at a Wells Fargo Bank about 3 pm, reports the Press Enterprise. Brandon Tyler, 19, passed a note demanding money to a teller. He then waited there for “several minutes” before he decided to leave (without any coin).
When Tyler got into his car, police arrived and Tyler, along with his passenger, 24-year-old Thomas Burke, were detained.
Tyler was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and second-degree attempted robbery.
Burke was arrested on suspicion of violating his parole, being an accessory to an attempted robbery and driving under the influence of a drug.
