Bay area commuters were treated to some surprise nudity on Tuesday as a dude in his 20s took it all off and hung out on top of a freeway sign for Interstate 80 in San Francisco, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The guy climbed the sign around 2:30 p.m. by the Fifth Street. Once at the top, he stripped naked. No one actually reported the incident to police, but officers were in the area to spot him.

“Guy just decided he wanted to climb up there and hang out and started taking his clothes off,” CHP spokesman Officer Vu Williams told SF Gate.

Cops talked the guy into putting his clothes on and coming back down. The whole thing went on for about 10 minutes.

Police say that the man wasn’t suicidal or under the influence of drugs or alcohol He was given a citation for trespassing and released within 30 minutes.
