Amazon crashed on Friday as the release of the NES Classic had many scrambling to grab the console.
The NES Classic is a miniature version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) from back in 1985. It comes with 30 pre-installed games (Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, PAC-MAN, Dr. Mario, Mega Man, Final Fantasy, and more), has one controller, and yes you should definitely buy me one for Christmas.
Demand was so high that Amazon’s website crashed.

First time I have ever seen @amazon fail. Tried buying NES Classic, add to cart, cart empty. Now page is unreachable

The item is still listed, but is not available for sale on Amazon.
And it wasn’t just Amazon, people were lining up in big lines all across America for the device.
